Harry will be involved in a new charity book based on Anthony Browne’s Shape Game.
The book, which is being produced by Waterstone’s, Walker Books and Booktrust, is based on turning random shapes into something recognisable. The book will feature over 40 writers, artists and celebrities with the likes of Quentin Blake, Jo Brand and Emma Thompson getting involved. The book will be released on 26th July at £5.99.
The artwork will also be available for sale on an online charity auction, which will be held physically at Waterstone’s Piccadilly. The funds raised will go to the Rainbow Trust, who give support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness.
Browne said: “Although on one level it’s just a game, I believe that it encapsulates the act of creation… everything comes from something else, inspiration is everywhere. I am thrilled that so many big names have signed to play the Shape Game. I look forward to seeing their artwork, and to hopefully raising a good amount for Rainbow Trust.”
Denise Johnstone-Burt, publisher at Walker Books, said: “Walker is thrilled and honoured to be associated with this important and worthwhile project. More than 40 celebrities, authors and artists have shown how creativity can be harnessed for a wonderful charitable cause – let’s get everyone playing the Shape Game!”
