Dom Joly: I’m Not Trying To Replace TV Burp

Dom Joly has said that he isn’t trying to replace TV Burp when his new show, Fool Britannia.

The show, as previously revealed by Harry Hill Fansite is taking TV Burp’s Autumn slot before The X Factor, will feature hidden camera pranks on the public with the comic. Speaking to the Press Association, he has said:

I’m not taking over from TV Burp. I dislike so many TV programmes but I genuinely just love TV Burp, I think it’s genius and he’s stopping and I don’t quite know why, but I have got his slot which is fantastic really. It’s pressure, 7pm, Saturday night before The X Factor. It’s sink or swim really.
