As part of their celebrations for Fairtrade Fortnight, three of the Harry’s Nuts farmers have come to the UK to celebrate nuts!
One of the farmers and also the face of Harry’s Nuts on the back of the pack, Rosemary Kadzitche, will be speaking at a special service in St Paul’s Cathedral on Sunday at 6pm to commemorate London being declared a Fairtrade Diocese. The diocese will be presented with their certification by the Bishop of London and others in attendance include Harriet Lamb from the Fairtrade Foundation, Casualty and Doctor Who star Adjoa Andoh and The Archers’ Carole Boyd. For more on the event, visit Diocese of London’s Fairtrade website.
Alongside her two fellow farmers, Judith Harry and Kingsley Makiyoni, the trio will be also talking to the Comic Relief staff, who support Liberation Nuts, the makers of Harry’s Nuts. Also, throughout the week, they will also be talking to journalists and Fairtrade supporters.
On Saturday, they will be attending an international Fairtrade market organised by The People’s Supermarket, stockists of Harry’s Nuts, which runs from 11am and 2pm at Queen Square. Alongside Liberation, there will also include stalls from Zaytoun, Buna Oromia Coffee and Tropical Wholefood. For more, visit The People’s Supermarket website.
Finally, on Thursday, they will be at the recording of TV Burp!
