Schofield’s Dream – Harry Hill, 2011 – Courtesy of Edinburgh Art Festival
Harry Hill’s first art exhibition will be on this summer.
The exhibition, entitled My Hobby, will be on between 4th August and 2nd September at Edinburgh Art Festival. Having provided pieces to exhibitions and charity auctions over the years, this will be Harry’s first solo exhibition, showcasing his portfolio of pieces created in his spare time.
The exhibition will include paintings and sculptures, described as funny, sad and macabre at once, and depicting a parallel universe where nature, celebrity and surrealism collide. Themes across the pieces include well known faces from British daily life, extraordinary animals and most recently, a group of Brit Pop stars painted onto coconuts, as featured on the website here.
Additionally, the exhibition includes a newly commissioned interview with Harry Hill and artist David Shrigley.
The exhibition is on at the second floor at White Stuff at 89 George Street, Edinburgh between 10am and 6pm Monday to Saturday, with late opening on Thursday until 7pm, and Sunday from 11am to 5pm, with entry completely free!
