Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow has won at this year’s National Television Awards.

The show beat TV Burp, Take Me Out and Dynamo: Magician Impossible in Comedy Programme category.

TV Burp is up for an award tonight at the 17th National Television Awards.

The show has been nominated alongside Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Take Me Out and Dynamo: Magician Impossible in Comedy Programme category.

The show is on live from The O₂ on ITV1 at 7.30pm.

Dom Joly’s new hidden camera show, Fool Britannia, has reported been scheduled to take the TV Burp slot before The X Factor from October, according to recent tweets from the comic.

According to three tweets on his official account, @domjoly, as detailed below, the 8 part series will take the slot.

Back in 2007, Harry Hill also made a pilot for a show called What Are The Chances Of That Happening, which was a hidden camera prank show based on Beadle’s About.

Comedy.co.uk 2011 Awards

Harry Hill’s TV Burp has come in 3rd in the Comedy.co.uk Awards 2011, the only comedy awards voted for by the public.

The Graham Norton Show took the top spot in the category, Best British TV Entertainment Show 2011, with TV Burp and second place Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle receiving strong support. It was a particularly jam-packed category, with stand-up, comic chat shows and other satire in the mix.

The shows performed well against those also nominated, which includes all shows broadcast during the year, such as Alan Carr: Chatty Man, Channel 4′s Comedy Gala, Frank Skinner’s Opinionated, John Bishop’s Britain, Lee Mack’s All Star Cast, Live At The Apollo, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Russell Howard’s Good News, The Angelos Epithemiou Show, The Jonathan Ross Show and The Rob Brydon Show.

The New (and , it seems last) series of TV Burp starts up on the 4th Feb and finishes 8 shows later at the end of March in a huge finale – SO MAKE THE MOST OF IT !!!

He has also provided a picture of his Brit Pop coconuts after producing a Jarvis Cocker coconut last year.
