After Harry unusual joke on Harvester in last week’s TV Burp, the chain of restaurants enjoyed their website receiving double their usual hits.  A spokesman for Harvester said:

The UK’s number one family restaurant chain Harvester experienced a boost in interest at the weekend thanks to comedian ­Harry Hill. I wish I could say that I put ­Harry Hill up to doing the sketch but I didn’t.

Alex Meyer, the marketing manager, told the Daily Express that:

It was quite a surprise to see Harry Hill talking about Harvester. His comments were very positive and he listed a number of the key reasons why Harvester has become the UK’s number one ­family restaurant, albeit delivered in classic Harry Hill style. We would like to thank ­Harry for his support and if he ­fancies a complimentary meal at his local Harvester then we would be happy to oblige.

Independent website statistics site Alexa have confirmed the website has received 70% more visitors last week than it three month average.

Harry himself said to the Daily Express:

Let’s hope there’s a similar effect after this week’s mention of the Bible.

The ratings for TV Burp have risen for Saturday’s episode, with 6.84m (29%), up 100,000 viewers. In the previous half hour slot, You’ve Been Framed did well, with 29% audience share also and 6.28m.
